About the Project

This kitchen remodel was for an original kitchen which dated back to the 70's in Scottsdale! Back in the day kitchens were meant to be hidden from the family and living / dining room areas with doors or walls hiding their view.  This was the case for this home. The entrance into the kitchen was small push door from the living / dining room area and the family room was closed off from the kitchen with a wall and there was 1 small countertop for setting things. The ceilings throughout the house were  12 foot ceilings, but in the kitchen the builder dropped the ceiling with a large box light over the center of the kitchen.

We decided to bring the kitchen into this century with some dramatic changes!

First we raised the ceiling in the kitchen and opened up the doorway from the living / dining room area so you can see into the new beautiful kitchen. Next we completely re-designed the kitchen to include double ovens, a new fridge and large cooktop with drawers. We added lower cabinets with a combination of drawers and cabinets plus uppers in glass for dishes and silverware so it can be easily accessible from the dining table. Under the existing window we kept the plumbing where it originally stood and added a pull out trash and an L shaped island so our clients can really entertain and see their guests. This kitchen is now ready for a party with lots of space to move about!!

Cabinets are a Lenox Canvas Cream by KCD with brushed nickel hardware. Countertops are a  Granite called Astoria,  Pendant lighting by Progress lighting, wood shelves by etsy and all new appliances by Samsung.
